The Boss Who Stole Christmas (Reindeer Falls #1) by Jana Aston

Book Description

Dear Santa,

Please bring me a new boss for Christmas. Mine is the worst. The worst, hidden in a six foot tall package of male perfection. It’d be easier if he looked like an old Scrooge, wouldn’t it?

Nick Saint-Croix doesn’t look like an old scrooge. He’s hot as-

Um, never mind. Just bring me a new boss. Please.

Sincerely,
Holly Winter

My Review

This is such a cute story, and the author fills it with tons of adorable and natural humor. Right away I was drawn in my the way Holly, the main character, has such a bitchy attitude toward her “Grinch” boss. It becomes quickly apparent that she’s filled with tension because she’s attracted to him, and he’s subtly flirting with her in ways she’s too blind to see.

My only complaint at all about this story was that I felt we got more character development for her sisters than we did for Nick (the love interest). I mean, yeah he’s quiet, subtle, focused, and super patient with her ridiculousness (which essentially goes back to more of him being quiet, subtle and focused). Normally, Nick’s sort of flat feeling would’ve taken it down to a four star for me, but the sexy advent calendar earned it back 🙂

Definitely worth a read, and I may try reading the others in the series since this book contains the setup for her baking sister and the tv baking personality which is apparently in the next book.
